“Shelling of Dubrovnik – The Day After”
According to the report of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Dubrovnik, prepared in cooperation with UNESCO, of the 824 buildings in the Old Town, 563 were hit in 1991 and 1992 shelling. Six buildings were completely destroyed in the fires, 438 roofs were damaged by direct hits, and another 262 by shrapnel.
The photographs presented here are some of the exhibits introduced as evidence by the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) at the trials of Pavle Strugar, Miodrag Jokić, and Slobodan Milošević.
