On the sidelines of The Hague Peace Conference on Yugoslavia, in November 1991, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY), Ante Marković, accused President of Serbia, Slobodan Milošević, of shelling Dubrovnik. Milošević denied that Dubrovnik was shelled, and Croatian President Franjo Tudjman supported him in that.
